Introduction

Use the integrated Excalidraw whiteboard to organize and summarize your data, refine geological interpretations and predictions, and develop conceptual depositional model(s) for the target subsurface interval.

Use the conceptual models to guide key static modeling design decisions. Consider whether a deterministic, stochastic, or hybrid modeling approach will best represent the depositional uncertainties in the interval.

Main Practical Uses

Clearly identify the subsurface problem being addressed by the conceptual depositional model.

Summarize known regional-scale tectonic and system information, as well as existing local depositional interpretations.

Use to compile screen grabs from Sedbase dashboards covering depositional interpretation and prediction.

Use to brainstorm depositional solutions and sketch preliminary conceptual models using the integrated drawing tools.

Summarize the proposed model design, including its deterministic and stochastic components, as well as algorithms that can be applied.

Compile relevant dimensional and other data from Sedbase and additional sources to serve as input parameters for stochastic algorithms.
